What's the difference between Photo Books vs Picture Books? Photo Books and Picture Books have many of the same great options with some key differences. All Photo Books and Picture Books require a minimum of 20 sides and are made with a professional hard cover in any of our Fabric, Faux Leather, Sparkle or Photo Covers. Key differences are in page style and papers, as well as book sizes. These are great for seniors to showcase their senior pictures and to have friends sign. These are also great to use as a wedding guest book. You put selected engagement pictures in the book and there are spaces and pages for your guests to not only sign but to write you a little message. Picture Book pages are printed exclusively on silk-like SoftPan Paper with a seamless center crease for layflat. Cover 6 Color Printing When you choose to wrap your book in a Photo Cover image, 4 Color Printing is standard. But when skin tones dominate, we recommend upgrading to 6 Color Printing for smoother color transitions. Available for Photo Book and Picture Book covers. Standard digital printing uses 4 inks (cyan, magenta, yellow and black). Printed as tiny dots, these 4 inks visually blend to produce all the colors you see in an image. Upgrade to 6-color printing if skin tones dominate your image (e.g. portraits and head shots). Six-color printing includes 2 light color inks to create smoother transitions in skin tones and more photo-realistic images. Covers Both Photo Books and Picture Books come in Fabric, Faux Leather, Sparkle or Photo Covers.
